Parrot Jungle Island

Original and unusual the Parrot Jungle gives nature lovers a first hand experience of a lush green jungle right inside Miami. Its Australian born creator, Franz Scherr migrated to America way back in 1911. 25 years later he gifted Miami the exotic Parrot Jungle. In December 1936, hundreds of curious visitors thronged the Parrot Jungle, to hear Fraz Scherr describe his birds, trees and flowers. A bird watcher's paradise, one can see exotic birds basking in the glory of their natural environment. The Jungle hosts a memorable show which features birds, reptile giants and wild encounters presenting the world's most amazing birds and reptiles. A unique treetop ballroom has been created to be hired for special occasions for those with an original turn of mind. Even wedding celebrations are held here. Catering is provided by a highly trained staff.
