Carnival Miami

The Miami Carnival was characterized by two separate Carnival associations – Caribbean American Carnival and Carnival Association of South Florida in 1999. In 2002 the carnival has joined with Broward County Library and presented the First Annual Miami Carnival. Within two years only, Miami Carnival grown from a neighborhood festival to an international event.

This event brings live bands and calypsonians from islands. The Junior Carnival is produced by leaps and bounds with categories of competition. It is celebrated before Columbus Day in Peacock Park Carnival. This event gives food and craft vendors the opportunity to showcase their products.

Every year, the Miami Carnival is celebrated in the month of October Most of the events are free for the tourists.

In 2005, this carnival had celebrated its 21st Anniversary.
