Art Center

The Art Center was established in 1984 by a small group of artists who envisioned a potential cultural renaissance in blighted and vacant Lincoln Road.

The Art Center has received extensive media coverage for its role in resurrecting South Florida's cultural landscape. It has been hailed by the New York Times as the "best gallery in Miami". It has received accolades from The Wall Street Journal for its "presence that has transformed the area ... into a hub of commerce."

As an arts incubator promoting the development of visual arts and artists, the Art Center is an important landmark in South Florida's cultural life. It is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice of contemporary visual arts and culture in South Florida. The Art Center offers access to resources and support, creates opportunities for experimentation and innovation, and encourages the exchange of ideas across cultures and artistic disciplines.

Themes are varied and startling. Five budding artists from Germany and Miami are making an artistic presentation on magic and glamour.
